Die italienische Gruppe Piccola Bottega Baltazar ist ein elektro-akustisches Laboratorium, das sich neuen Ausprägungen von Folkmusik widmet. Die Geschichten, die sie in ihren Liedern erzählen, beschäftigen sich mit aktuellen Themen und besonderen regionalen Ausprägungen. Die Konzerttätigkeit erstreckt sich von Spanien, Griechenland, Schweiz, Deutschland, Mexiko bis Bahrain. Sie haben auch die Musik für einige Filme von Andrea Segre geschrieben.

Piccola Bottega Baltazar is a folk rock band from Northern Italy. Its music takes inspiration from both a long tradition of Italian folk and contemporary world sounds.

PBB has been awarded several prizes, including the national contest Musicultura (www.musicultura.it) in 2011 and was invited by the prestigious "Club Tenco" (http://clubtenco.it) in the same year to perform on what is probably the most important stage in Italy for songwriting, the Ariston theatre in Sanremo.

The band has published fve records (www.piccolabottegabaltazar.it/i-disch) iincluding "Il disco dei Miracoli" (www.piccolabottegabaltazar.it/i-dischi/il-disco-dei-miracoli) (mentioned in the best 20 new records of the year in 2007 by PIMI - Premio Italiano Musica Indipendente) and "Ladro di Rose" (www.piccolabottegabaltazar.it/i-dischi/ladro-di-rose) defned "Unmissable" by the infuential website Bielle.org (www.bielle.org)

PBB has also composed and recorded several soundtracks for movies and documentaries, including "Come un Uomo sulla Terra" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Come_un_uomo_sulla_terra) (shortlisted for Donatello Price 2009), "Il Sangue Verde" (http://ilsangueverde.blogspot.it) (DOC Price at Venice Film Festival, 2010) and "La Prima Neve" (www.laprimaneve.com/en/presented) at the Venice Film Festival in 2013.

The band has tour experience across Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Greece, Germany, Mexico and Bahrain.
