The Belgian Blue is an Indie-folk project, born of an Irish, American and Austrian crossover, based between Vienna and Dublin. The band combines pointed, impressionist lyrics, warm melodies and jerking, nervous arrangements and energy to create a sound which is both arresting and transcendent.
After gaining recognition through busking on the streets of Vienna during Covid lockdowns, the band expanded to a 5 piece in 2023, releasing debut 8-track E.P. “Summersweeps” to acclaim, and is now becoming one of Vienna’s most celebrated new bands with plans to release a new E.P. in September 2026.
